Sunday night saw a group of dedicated tennis regulars and some novices turn out on what proved to be a beautiful evening in support of the charity event to help Rachel Shaw reach her fund-raising goal.  It was a great evening of tennis, fun, food and entertainment  in support of a very worthy cause to help a very disadvantaged area in India close to Jaipur.  Rachel will be helping with the construction and decoration of much needed facilities during her fifteen days.  She will be departing on  2nd August and takes with her all the good wishes for a bon voyage as well €500 raised at the tournament.  Winners on the night were Jo Daly and Frank Shaw and in the other group the winners after a play off were Dariusz Smolski and Miriam Simpkin.  Excellent entertainment was provided on the night by Trish & Martin Fox and their daughter Alana.  Well done everyone in particular to Kathleen McGinty for organising what was a fun and enjoyable night and best wishes to Rachel from all at the Club.
