Fergus Murphy Head Tennis Coach MTC (083) 1079982 Set4tennis2012@gmail.com INTRODUCTION: First, I would like to introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me. My name is Fergus, and I am a member of Mullingar Tennis Club since I was 9 years old. I am also a professional and qualified tennis coach with many years of experience coaching players of all standards and abilities. As a level 3 performance coach I have worked with some of the best juniors in Ireland and aided in their development as tennis players. I am starting my role as Head Coach in MTC from August 1st – I have over 10 years’ experience working as a Head Tennis Coach. For September 2023 through to June 2024 I have endeavoured to put a programme in place in MTC which is designed to give all our juniors the best opportunity to develop and reach their individual potential. Juniors develop at different stages however it is my goal as Head Coach of MTC to build a solid foundation for all players at each stage of development. Within the programme as Head Coach my aim is to provide quality coaching for all junior members regardless of their individual goal within tennis, i.e., to be the best they can be and enjoy the sport, or to play at a competitive level outside of our club and wherever the sport takes them.
